Sea Rescue Cards :

A Sea Rescue card gives you 1, 2 or 5 rescues in case you have difficulties out at sea.
We pick you up and your gear out at sea and we bring you to safety on shore.
WHERE DO WE OPERATE?
Los Lances Norte near Chiringuito Agua
Valdevaqueros.
We cover a safety zone up to 1 km away from the beach.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CARD?
We are there to help even if you don't have a rescue card.
In this case you pay for a one time rescue 50€, 100€ or 150€ depending how far from the shore we had to go and search for your gear.

Spots & Forecast
In tarifa, there are 2 types of winds :
- Levente : off-shore wind, very strong and gusty, take a rescue card to ride safely
- Poniente, side on shore wind, take a rescue card to ride safely
- Location: Right by Tarifa’s harbour and the old town.
- Wind Direction: Levante (offshore).
- Conditions: Very strong wind and waves, narrow launch zone, rocky.
- Level: Experts only.
- Extras: Epic waves during big Levante swells. Known as Tarifa’s “pro spot”.
- Location: Just north of Tarifa (at Chiringuito Aqua & Waves).
- Wind Direction: Levante (offshore) & Poniente (onshore).
- Conditions: Wide sandy beach, flatwater at low tide, light chop with Poniente.
- Level: Beginner to advanced.
- Extras: Spacious and peaceful
- Location: Between Balneario and Rio Jara, (in front of town).
- Wind Direction: Levante & Poniente.
- Conditions: Slightly choppier, than Los Lances Northe.
- Level: All levels
- Extras: Close to town – ideal for quick sessions.
You can only kite from October to May; it's completely prohibited in the summer
- Location: 10 minutes west of Tarifa.
- Wind Direction: Mostly Poniente (onshore/sideshore), Levante is gustier.
- Conditions: Large bay, light chop, small waves farther out.
- Level: Beginner to expert.
- Extras: Beach bars, surf vibe, lots of space on the water.
- Location: Western end of Valdevaqueros bay.
- Wind Direction: Works well with both Levante and Poniente.
- Conditions: Sheltered corner with softer wind and flatter water.
- Level: All levels, great for progression.
- Extras: Scenic dunes and calm atmosphere.
- Location: 25 minutes from Tarifa.
- Wind Direction: Best with Poniente.
- Conditions: Gentle waves, clear water, fewer crowds.
- Level: Beginner to intermediate.
- Extras: Roman ruins, nature reserve, relaxed vibe. Forbidden for Kitesurfing!
- Location: 35 minutes west of Tarifa.
- Wind Direction: Ideal with Poniente, not great with Levante.
- Conditions: Light waves, wide beach, peaceful setting.
- Level: Beginner to advanced.
- Extras: Charming village, great beach restaurants.
- Location: About 50 minutes toward Cádiz.
- Wind Direction: Best with Poniente.
- Conditions: More wave-oriented, good for wave wingfoiling.
- Level: Intermediate to advanced.
- Extras: Natural scenery and bohemian, laid-back vibe.
- Location: 30 minutes toward Algeciras.
- Wind Direction: Excellent with Poniente, safe option during strong Levante.
- Conditions: Flatwater spot, perfect for learning and freestyle.
- Level: Beginner to intermediate.
- Extras: Uncrowded and protected bay – very safe in offshore winds.
- Location: Just outside Algeciras, 35 minutes from Tarifa.
- Wind Direction: Works with Poniente (onshore), Levante also possible.
- Conditions: Small shorebreak, light chop, sandy beach.
- Level: Beginner to advanced.
- Extras: Beautiful bay with local vibe, great option when Tarifa is too windy.
