Rental Policy

1. Rental Information, Availability & Duration


  • Equipment can be rented for up to 7 days.
  • For rentals longer than 7 days, please contact us via email or WhatsApp to arrange a custom plan.
  • Each rental period lasts 24 hours from your chosen pick-up time.

2. Discounts & Combos


  • Discounts start from the 4th rental day.
  • Combo pricing is available for multiple items:
    • 1 item: €25 per day
    • Combo 3 (3 items): €60 per day (€20 per item)
  • Combos are available for 1 to 5 items, with daily discounts applying from the 4th day onward.
  • A detailed price table is available upon request.
  • Additional items can be added at any time at the original daily rental rate for the current rental period.

Example: Renting 3 items for 3 days costs €180 (based on €20 per item per day). If you decide to add an extra item to your existing combo, you only pay €20 per day for that item instead of the standard €25 per day.

3. Equipment Condition


  • We provide premium equipment as official distributors of Reedin, Brunotti, Neilpryde, and Mick Fanning Softboards in Spain.
  • All equipment is regularly maintained to ensure top performance and safety.

4. Switch As You Wish


  • You may swap equipment during your rental period at no additional cost, subject to availability.
  • Please inform us in advance to ensure the desired gear is ready.

5. Pick-Up & Return


  • You may select your preferred pick-up time during booking.
  • The rental duration is calculated from that time (24 hours).
  • Returns must be made on time according to your rental agreement.
    • Late returns are subject to a penalty of:
      • €25 per hour, or
      • €100 per day
  • Our opening hours are listed at the bottom of each page on our website.

6. Security Deposit & Payment


  • A security deposit of €250 is required for all gear (soft tops, twin tips, surfboards, foil boards, foils, wings, kites, SUPs, and wing boards).
  • The deposit can be secured by either:
    • Blocking the amount on your credit/debit card, this will be released once the equipment has been inspected and confirmed to be free of damage. Or,
    • Paying €25 insurance and leaving your passport or ID as a deposit.

7. Optional Gear Insurance


  • For €25 per rental period, you can cover accidental damage to the rented material.
  • Insurance does not cover loss, theft, or gross negligence.

8. Cancellation Policy


  • Free cancellation or modification up to 24 hours before your rental start time.
  • After that, a 20% cancellation fee applies.
  • Early returns are non-refundable. Additional items can be added at any time at the original daily rental rate for the current rental period. See discounts & Combos (Section 2)

9. User Responsibilities


  • Renting from Surco School means using premium equipment that is also available for sale.
  • You are responsible for:
    • Repair costs in case of damage.
    • Loss of resale value if equipment is damaged.
    • Covering the time the gear is unavailable due to repairs.

10. Rental Requirements


  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • A valid ID must be presented at pick-up.
  • Independent level of riding. (Surco School reserves the right to deny equipment rental if we determine that your skill level is insufficient for safe use)

11. Liability & Safety


  • Watersports involve inherent risks. By renting, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
  • Surco is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damage to third parties during the use of rented equipment.
  • You must use appropriate safety gear at all times (helmet, leash, impact vest, etc.).

12. Damage Policy

Major Damage (> €200):

    • Keep it: You can buy the damaged item at the current (web)shop price with a 3-day rental discount (repair costs not included).
    • Leave it: You pay 50% of the new price.


Note: Insurance does not cover loss, theft, or gross negligence.
